We’re really happy to share a year another year of news and our new objectives with you. Your work helps us to grow, because without all of you, this wouldn’t be possible!

Numbers

We’ve closed the first trimester of 2022 with a turnover of €33.3m, growing by +30% on 2021, and doubling the turnover of 2020. We’re continuing to experience a high growth index en all of our sales channels, especially in our flagship stores and the online shop.

In the words of our Managing Director, Francesc Julià, “We’re continuing to accelerate our rhythm of growth, and gaining market share in each of the country where we’re present. In the global context of decreasing consumption, that’s an enormous success.”

Online expansion

Hello Suiza!

At the beginning of this year we opened the Swiss store (kavehome.com/ch/en/), available in English, German, Italian, and French. Another country joins us on the Kave Team, and after months of hard work we’ve been able to add another flag to our online store.

Retail expansion

We’re continuing to expand our chain of stores globally.

We opened our first store in Australia! We traversed the planet to open our first store in Sydney, more than 17,000km away from Kave’s central offices.

In 2013 we started our Australian adventure. In 2021 we opened our online store and this year we’re continuing to consolidate ourselves in the country, opening our first flagship store.

Throughout 2022 we’re continuing with our expansion plan of flagship stores in Spain, and we’re opening the first in France and Italy.

We’re constructing a 90,000m2 logistics platform!

We allotted €70m to a project that’s going to have two phases. The first 50,000m2 will start operating in 2023 and create 150 job openings. Located in the province of Barcelona, it’ll include a recycling and reusing centre and an R&D centre.

The facilities will have the international certificate of BREEAM sustainability, generating enough energy to be self-sufficient, using solar panels and improving the comfort of the team with central underfloor heating, and a natural air-recirculating system.

Opening our new offices

We’ve already started to installing a 900m2 extension of our Headquarters. It’s an area that allows the creation of 100 new job openings. Furthermore, it adds 12 group and individual meeting rooms so that projects flow as never before, a breastfeeding room for new mums, and a rest and relaxation area with sofas and plants. The project has respected the existing architectural structure of the space and incorporates skylights to take advantage of the natural light, and wooden walls to give warmth. Added to all that, it’s temperature isolated and has natural acoustics.
